Grand Master Lioni Velasquez (Chief Instructor) More than 35 years of martial arts experience. G.M. Velasquez has taught a wide variety of students. He is experienced at working with military and police departments, is a certified Rape Prevention Instructor, and has taught children and adults with ADD and ADHD, and other disabilities. He advocates finding the student's goal and then finding a way to help achieve that goal.

Sensei Anthony (Atemi-ryu Jujitsu) Anthony has more than 9 years of experience in the Atemi-ryu system, and has been teaching for 4 years. He is direct and down to earth, and his teaching reflects that. Although he specializes in Jujitsu, Anthony has also studied Aikijutsu. He was recertified as an instructor by Dr. Chineque, system founder, in Oct. 2007.

Sensei Mark Sternlicht (Chendokan Aikido) With more than 8 years of experience in the Atemi-ryu system, Mark is a certified Aikido instructor. He applies the same discipline in the dojo that has made him a success in the courtroom. Mark practices with an eye on the precise application of traditional forms and efficient application of techniques.

Sensei Matt (Chendokan Aikido) Matt originally came to Atemi-ryu with an interest in Jujitsu, but ultimately studied Chendokan Aikido. After 7 years of study, he received his Shodan in May of 2007. He prefers the blending of Atemi-ryu jujitsu and Chendokan aikido instructor, and is available for private lessons.instructor, and is available for private lessons.

Don Bell (Atemi-Ryu Aikido) Don has studied a variety of arts from Hapkido to Jujitsu. He spent 9 months of the year before his Shodan training with a broken hand. His dedication to the study of martial arts is clear. He has studied Chendokan Aikido for 6 years.

Sensei Steven Carpenter (Chendokan Aikido) Steve has studied Chendokan Aikido for more than 5 years, starting after the age of 50. He received his Shodan in February 2008. Steven has broad professional expertise and has applied his hunger for knowledge to his martial arts study.

Sensei Adrianna (Atemi-Ryu Jujitsu) Adrianna is the youngest of our Shodans. She tested for her black belt in June 2008, passing the adult jujitsu test. She teaches kids and teens.

Assistant Instructor Sheila V. (Atemi Arnis) Sheila's interest in Arnis resulted in the launching of our first Atemi Arnis class in Fayetteville. She has a broad knowledge of health and fitness and has studied both Jujitsu and Judo. She prefers the dynamic use of weapons and principles for multiple strike defenses.
